Jessica Richards Baughman
Jessica
Richards Baughman is an Early Childhood Development Adjunct Professor,
specializing in Behavior Management and the Exceptional Child.
“Jessie” received a Master of Arts+ 30 and completed coursework to
obtain a Board Certification in Behavior Analysis, from the Graduate School
at the University of South Carolina.
Jessie is a certified teacher, (K-12) in the areas of Severe and
Multiple Disabilities. She has worked with individuals with severe
disabilities and autism since 2004, and has a special interest in working
directly with families and natural environment teaching. As a graduate
student, Jessie was awarded the Francis Gibson Daniel Fellowship for her
work with individuals with special needs.
Jessie has served as a Special Education teacher, applied behavior
analyst, and early interventionist. Jessie plans to obtain a doctorate in
the field of Education, in hopes of expanding her knowledge of teaching
aspiring teachers in the Higher Education setting. In her spare time, Jessie
enjoys traveling and going to dinner with her husband Matthew, and playing
with her nieces, Mary Hayes and Sally.
