Johna Buchanan

In addition to teaching Early Childhood Development, Johna is teaching kindergarten at White Knoll Elementary. She has been teaching in the public school system for 25 years. She has taught kindergarten, first, and second grades. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood from Clemson University and then went on to get a Master’s degree in Early Childhood from the University of South Carolina. She has been a chairperson and team member on numerous SACS visits around the state. She has been on the Kindergarten Curriculum Council for Lexington 1 school district. Johna has supervised numerous student teachers seeking a Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. 

She is married and has one child. She and her husband are very active in their church and community activities.
