Sherry Frazier

Sherry Frazier received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Master of Rehabilitation Counseling and Master of Education in Early Childhood from the University of South Carolina (USC).   Sherry is a Master Certified Trainer, Technical Assistance Provider-Generalist II and Certified Trainer in Infant/Toddler Development with South Carolina Childcare and Career Development.  She is also a nurse and musician.  She worked at USC for 15 years as a Program Director (Person-Centered Planning) and a  Program Consultant & Medical Consultant (ABC Special Needs Program).  Sherry has worked as the Director of School Based Services and Early Intervention at the Dept. of Health and Human Services, a Child Advocate Specialist at the Dept. of Mental Health and as a neonatal intensive care nurse, for many years, in Greenville and Richland Counties. She has spent her career advocating for children with special needs and mentoring child care providers, community partners and parents on quality care for all children.  

Sherry is the Minister of Music at her church and the owner/operator of Meshelka Piano Studio specializing in private piano study for children and adults.  She has two children and a grand-daughter who is the light of her life. Sherry has been working as an adjunct at Midlands Technical College since the summer of 2011 and enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for children with students.  In her spare time she enjoys shopping, listening to audio books, working as a guardian ad litem and is learning to play guitar which has been a long time ambition!
