Sandra Scialabba Sandra Scialabba

 Sandra is currently teaching full-time in the Early Childhood Development program at Midlands Technical College. Before teaching full-time, she taught as an adjunct in the Early Childhood Development program at Midlands Technical College for two years. In January of 2006, she was presented the Adjunct Faculty Member of the Year award for the Business Department at Midlands Technical College. She is also a certified trainer for the Center for Child Care Career Development in Greenville and has spent the last two years presenting child development workshops for child care providers at local workshops and at statewide conferences. Her prior experiences in early childhood include working as a training coordinator for Richland County First Steps, and working as a parent educator in Richland School District One and with Lexington County First Steps. While working in Richland School District One, she taught as a preschool special education itinerant as well as a preschool special education teacher in a self-contained autism classroom. Before working in the public school system, she owned and operated her own family child care home for nine years. Her educational background includes an AA in Human Services from Midlands Technical College, a BA in Early Childhood Education from Columbia College, an M. Ed. In Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and 18 credit hours towards an M. Ed. In Early Childhood Education from USC. She also holds a current South Carolina Teaching Certificate.
